This is an estimate, to be confirmed when INE publishes the official figure.
This figure sits in the middle of three possible scenarios:
- +2.56% is the figure that results from INE's flash estimate of the August 2026 CPI, released on 31 August (year-on-year inflation of 3.3%)
- The definitive August CPI is published around 10 September; historically, the flash estimate rarely diverges from the final figure
- The official coefficient (1.0256) is published by INE in October in the Diário da República
