What is the 2027 coefficient?
With the final August 2026 CPI, published by INE on 10 September, the 2027 INE rent update coefficient is +2.56% (coefficient 1.0256), matching the average 12-month variation of the CPI excluding housing. The official notice came out in the Diário da República on 1 October 2026.

- +2.56% first came out of INE's flash estimate of the August 2026 CPI, released on 31 August (year-on-year inflation of 3.3%)
- The final August CPI was published on 10 September and confirmed the same number: 2.56%
